Colorado - Cripple Creek

Greeting and welcome to my new blog.  After 10 yrs of being retired form the Air Force and away from Defense contracting, I have started a new direction in my life. I decided the time was right because my son is graduating soon and plans on joining the military to start his journey and this kicked me into gear to look for new adventures in life.  As I have always enjoyed the outdoors and being part of nature, I decided to start hiking, camping and other outdoor lifestyle activities.  Since this is somewhat new to me, I decide I want to write about it and share it with whomever will listen.

So far my son and I have done 6 day hikes around the Tampa Bay area.  We are planning a new hike this weekend that I plan to post about.  And I will also post about our last hike in Myakka State park. I will post the route and some pictures and thoughts about what we carried with us, what the state of the trails were like, what the state of the area was like. and if we would recommend it to anyone.

Please feel free to post questions or Trails that you recommend, or just comments about what you read,  I am not easily offended but others might not be, so please mind your manners and be respectful.

FYI I call myself the Seasoned Saxon cause I am an Old white guy, cause having some fun.
